Love At First Sight
Hi my name is Tom. When i first saw her, a sensation ran through my veins like never before. I gasped and held my breath while i slid down under the window still, out of sight from the pavement below. Millions of thoughts ran through my mind as i threw my binoculars on the bed. I was flustered. I pulled myself back to the edge of the window still and took a second look, this time through my own eyes.
''Oh my gosh! Is this for real?'' That weird tingling feeling ran through my veins again, this time, stronger. At that split second, I knew that it was all just fun and games before this indescribable feeling happened. Her apperarance beside my house was just so delusive. It was almost dreamlike.

Speech stuff.
Okay here it goes...
Good morning Dr Boon as well as ladies and gentlemens.
I would like to address the issue of the school only emphasising on the academic development of the pupils here in Anglican High.
There are a few examples which I would point out as it clearly shows the lack of other activities for the pupil’s benefit other than academic wise. For your information, Anglican High is the Centre Of Excellent Sports but I feel that the school is not putting enough effort to live up to its reputation.
1. Sports Day is no longer held in the usual Bedok Stadium, instead, it was held in the school compound. Of course I would not be bothered if the school provided facilities like the Bedok Stadium. However, the school does not even have the basic requirement of a running track. I felt that the environment for the event was really important as, without a properly equiped one, it can lead to not hosting even the usual events like the track events. Futhermore, it shows the effort of the school putting in effort for Sports Day to only a very limited extent.
2. Secondly, the annual 2.4km cross-country run was scheduled on a non-school day. The reason being cirriculum time was precious and we should not use it for the 2.4 run. This clearly portrays the image of the school towards the use of its cirriculum time, ‘Only For Academics’. It was concrete proof that sports and other non-related studies activities are only second to academics.
My conclusion is that the school should aim to be more all-rounded and treat all aspects of the student's well-being more equally. This way the students can enjoy studying even more with the accompany of their non-academic activities in Anglican High. Thank-you.

MARION JONES
FASTEST WOMAN ON EARTH! yep thats her all right. Her particular shot to fame came when she was inspired to be a track athlete by the athletes she saw compete at the Olympics and by the late Florence Griffith-Joyner. She actually started off as a terrific basketball player, she averaged 22.8 points per game as a high school senior and was named Division I Player of the Year as a point guard. Still she was the FIRST woman to win 5 olympics medal! all at one time sweep. Her 100m sprint is no.1 which is at 10.65s and thats freakin fast. oh ya did i mention she had a child at 2003 but still went on to dominate and got like a million more medals. To someone who had a child and maintain a damn muscular body you've got to give her credit.
Shes like 32 years old, older than the other athletics but still she leaves them wayyy behind her as she normally emerges as first place. But its like just this morning when i read the papers, she was going broke! Oh no! hey c'mon just win some more medals and the cash would be rolling in! is it that easy? haha im not sure. Shes was like Jordan's neighbour before...and jordan's house is practically a gazillion hectares of land. well its enough to fit 2 olympic size swimming pool, 1 baseball field, 1 nba bball court, a 9-hole golf course...and just many more things to make me jealous.
The Downside:
Victories aint that sweet for her. Her victories were tainted by rumors that she was using performance-enhancing drugs at the time. Her ex-husband, an Olympic shot-putter and confessed steroid user, testified under oath that he had seen her inject drugs into her stomach in the Olympic Village in Sydney. like what an idiot to testify your wife. However, she obviously continually denied ever using performance-enhancing drugs. Perhaps maybe she did takes steriod (i really hope she doesnt) but her life revolves around with people that actually takes them. Ex: her main coaches and her husband (thats like seriously ruining her rep). But since shes so famous and dominant in her events theres always a chance that she was set-up by someone right? must be... However, despite allegations that she has used performance-enhancing drugs, Marion Jones has remained positive, clearly determined to dispel all accusations of cheating. She has never failed a single drug test she's taken, and has passed a lie detector test. see?! thats enough.
Anyway how many athletics are willing to be so determined to fight and strive for their dreams. When she broke the record for her best 100m, how many more female athlete were inspired? well ture, no one thought that a woman could go faster than 11s at that time but she was up for the challenge and proved them wrong. if she had given up from the start, i bet history would've changed. aspiring young athlete would have no one to look up to, woman would not be constanly pushed forward to a higher limit, everyone would have thought that 11s was impossible! She's since become an inspiration to thousands of young girls who dream of athletic triumph, and has created a foundation to help them achieve those very goals.
During the 1990s who would dream of woman athlete clinching multi-million endorsment? female athletes!? Marion Jones did. and so she became role model to people and they are following her footsteps. Actually the most extraordinary thing she did was to create a vision for others so that they can have a real life example to follow.
As she always say, "There is nothing stopping me... except me." -Marion Jones. So ture...

Green mile
So the class watched an interesting movie, green mile. i shant talk more about the plot, so i shall go straight to how i felt after the movie.
After the movie, theres a few incidents that really made me think about. theres: is capital punishment fair in the movie? did percy get what he 'deserved'?...and did john coffey really didnt mind dying?
In the movie we saw 3 prisoners dying on the electric chair. for the first two prisoners, we did not know why they are convicted to death. but at that time, did we feel unfair for them? did we even want to know the reason behind what had landed them in this state? i believe most of us didnt. i think most of us thought that it was fair that they received the sentence. and it was 'enough' or okay for what they had done. but the fact was, we dont know. this controversy made me ponder, in real life how many of these thoughts do we judge people base on this. not knowing the reason that person have and just judge him by what happened in front of you. so now would you feel that the sentence was fair?
but back to the movie, the third prisoner, john coffey. we knew he was innocent but he still died in the end. so you pity him, but what about the first two, did you pity them if you would have supported capital punishment in the movie? so my question is, is capital punishment fair in the movie? well now i would think the system is quite unfair and rigid. as in did justice means taking away another person's life? was it justice the one who gave us the permission? i dont even think that we can have permission to take away our own life.
okay percy, well it was obvious he was hated throughout the movie. he humiliated john when he was escorting him to his cell, he broken three of del's bones, he crushed mr jingles, he destroyed del's dream of mouseville just before the execution, he fry del alive and he always threaten the other officer with his uncle's authority. so was all these fair to him when he became like a ''vegetable'' an idiot or psyco in the mental hospital? there was a vote in class and most of us thought it was alright and just for his ending to be like that. was it tragic enough for him and for yall? well i think that it was too much and well it could not reverse the incidents. it took away his everything, but i felt that if he was to change into a better person that would be enough. it was said that an eye for an eye but if it was like that and no one forgives, wouldnt the world be in chaos ploting revenge on the wrongs done to you?
okay in the movie i really think that john was a very interesting character. he actually chosen to die in the end, he felt that the world was filled with grief and pain. i believe that to him, he would rather die than to endure the sufferings that he can feel. well i cant judge if he was fair to himself and yall can seriously think about it.
it has been quite a long post. stop here.
till then
get out of my blog!

My music
okay my music simple. i dont look at the artist nor the band. its the rhythm or the lyrics. and yea im to the extreme. the rhythm must be upbeat and pumping. the lyrics i like them to be inspiring or touching and have somewhat meaning behind them. haha quite extreme. as for me its both chinese and english not exactly one-sided.
and yea lead guitar and piano. yes the instruments that i play.
my music i like mostly motivates me in someway or something. uh huh i dont really go for those addictive songs, too pop like and the whole world seems to be singing or humming the song.
songs should be simple. songs i like due to lyrics are like hero, superman, helana, make damn sure... rhythm can be like emo rock bands or stuff. doesnt have to have a fixed rhythm i like it that way.
and theres no particular genre of music i hate. okay probably techno and country. thats all. techno is gay. you gotta agree.
enough rubbish. oh ya heres something random im interested in breakdance. ya
listen to the song yall.
till then
peace-

yea i hate blogging.
Well to start with, Imee drives me insanely nuts during maths lessons. And these days i've seem to be the prime target of Dr Boon and this drives me nuts too. what happened was that:
I was bloody late for school and rushed up the hill in less than five mins. reached school just in time and Dr Boon was shouting 'Adeline!' and uh huh she knows my name. was caught for school uniform untucked. erm what do you expect a person who is running up the hill to care about this?
I jumped from the lift side and didnt take the underpass, ran crossed the road and up the hill for this? well, fine its still better than detention.
last year being late was just 20 push-ups ha. no wonder the school had so many late-comers then.
just as the day was about to end guess what? ya. i met her AGAIN.
gave me warning and asked me nonsenses. managed to get pass a demerit.
till then
i hate blogging.
